HOW IT WORKS

Two-Stage Ultra-Purification Methanol Reforming Process (Explain how does a hydrogen generator work)

  1. Vaporization & Preheating: Industrial methanol mixed with demineralized water is vaporized and preheated by waste heat exchangers of the hydrogen gas generator
  2. Catalytic Steam Reforming: Vapor mixture passes proprietary reforming catalyst inside methanol reformer, completing methanol steam reforming / steam reforming of methanol, converting feedstock into hydrogen-rich crude syngas containing CO, CO₂ and residual steam
  3. Cooling & Condensation: High-temperature syngas is cooled to ambient temperature; excess water vapor condenses and recycles back to feed mixing tank of methanol reforming system
  4. Primary PSA Purification (9N model only): Molecular sieve PSA unit removes bulk CO, CO₂ and hydrocarbon impurities to deliver 5N baseline hydrogen for Green Hydrogen Production Plant
  5. Metal Membrane Polishing: High-selectivity metal membrane filters out trace-level residual impurities, achieving stable 7N or 9N ultra-pure hydrogen output of hydrogen generator
